Week 4 – Plan Your Local Food Finale!

It’s been a great month of speakers, classes and festivals about the whys and hows of local and sustainable food. Thank you to all the people who have made this possible.

Let’s end on a high note, and show these last 3 events our full support!

9/25, 10am-5pm – Harvest Festival at p.e.a.c.h. Community Farm. A celebration of local farm harvest with live music, delicious food & workshops!  10425 S. Andrus Road, Cheney

9/27, 5:30-9:30pm – Harvest Cooking with Santé. Learn to cook with some of the less familiar foods from the farmers’ market. Wine, recipes, hands-on instruction & a sit-down dinner at the end. $85pp – call for reservations – 315-4613. 404 W. Main Ave.

9/29, 5-9pm – Wheat, Wine & Wild Salmon is the 4th Annual dinner to help save wild salmon. This is one of the main fundraisers supporting the work of Save Our Wild Salmon, Trout Unlimited & Slow Food Spokane River in our area. 5 courses of local fare, wild salmon & your first beverage included for $55.00 (tip included) – what a deal!
