Track Program Overview
Sustainable September Spokane is organized around four track topics that will highlight various aspects of community sustainability. Each track will include one feature event and several supporting community events designed to relate elements of sustainability to specific audiences and markets.
These track focus areas will also make it easier for people to identify their particular interests and participate. If you or your business is interested in sponsoring a Track, please visit the Sponsors page. If you would like to volunteer to get involved in a Track Committee, please go to the Volunteer page.
Sustainability practices have had an influence on materials, the approach to design and minimizing our impact while building and landscaping our spaces.
Ready, set, go- get your hands dirty and plant some trees! This track is full of tangible ways to green our community and clean up our river.
A community’s ability to produce local food sources underpins its sustainability efforts. From backyard gardening to local markets, this track will highlight local producers and retailers and provide education on growing your own.
From toddlers to the Young at Heart, the centerpiece of this track will be Sustainable Uprising, a youth lead event designed to rally our younger activists’ local music and art activities and celebrations.
